As you may know, two mandatory federal labor law poster changes were recently announced, which will result in an update to your GovDocs federal posters.

• The U.S. Department of Labor in April 2023 released an updated Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Minimum Wage poster
• Meanwhile, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission plans to update its Know Your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal poster. This is likely to come in late June 2023

With these federal updates, GovDocs is committed to ensuring your locations are compliant.

Background Information

Starting with the 2023 FLSA poster update, the changes are the result of the Provide Urgent Maternal Protections for Nursing Mothers Act (PUMP), which passed last year.

The right for nursing mothers to pump breast milk previously only applied to nonexempt workers. That reference has been removed from the FLSA poster.

Secondly, the Know Your Rights poster, which previously updated in October 2022, is set for another revision, which is expected toward the end of June 2023.

How Do We Maintain Compliance in the Meantime?

As long as customers print and display the new FLSA poster sent to them in our recent communication, they will be in compliance with the federal posting requirements.

Again, GovDocs has provided a pdf version of the updated FLSA poster to our customers so they can display it until the fully updated federal poster is shipped.

After the new Know Your Rights poster is released, clients will receive posters with both federal updates.
