Sherry Schmidt

Sherry Schmidt joined the GovDocs team in 2019 and leads all strategic human resources functions, including employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, employee engagement and retention, organizational development, and compliance. As Director of Human Resources, she is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that align with business objectives and foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture—critical to GovDocs’ rapid and organic growth.

With a deep passion for HR, Sherry thrives in the dynamic nature of her role. She values the opportunity to impact every facet of the employee experience and believes that the success of any organization is rooted in the strength of its people. For Sherry, achieving business goals is essential—but equally important is how those goals are met: through teamwork, creativity, and mutual respect.

Outside of work, Sherry enjoys spending time with her husband and their two sons. Her favorite pastimes include boating on the St. Croix River, interior design, and traveling to warm, tropical destinations.
