Yes. Customers are responsible for purchasing any applicable posters where our new technology identified a discrepancy.

As part of your update program, when a new or updated posting takes place at a corrected location a new poster will be automatically sent as part of your subscription.

However, some locations do not update frequently and may require poster purchases before a poster update. Your AM or AD is prepared to assist with any additional poster updates you find you may need in column M. Read about next steps in your Location Audit here >>

In your AM or AD email communication, you received location-specific information on whether any posters need to be removed, purchased or both for that location.

Once you have corrected your postings at your locations with jurisdictional discrepancies, you will be able to download a report from your Postings Dashboard that will identify for you the required postings for each location based on the jurisdiction identified through our new technology. Going forward, you will be able to utilize this report to conduct an audit of your locations to ensure compliance.

There are 4 main reasons zip codes are problematic to determine jurisdictions which include:

• They are designed for the efficient delivery of mail by the U.S. Postal Service and do not necessarily correspond to legal or administrative boundaries such as city limits, county lines, or state borders.

• In some cases, multiple ZIP codes can overlap within the same jurisdiction, or a single ZIP code can be divided among several different municipalities or counties. This overlap can lead to confusion and inaccuracies when trying to determine jurisdictional boundaries.

• ZIP codes do not offer the precision needed for legal or regulatory purposes. Jurisdictions are defined by specific geographical boundaries that require more detailed data, geographic coordinates, to determine accurately.

• Jurisdictions such as city boundaries or county lines can change over time due to annexations, redistricting, or other factors, but ZIP codes may not be updated to reflect these changes. This can result in outdated or incorrect jurisdictional information if relying solely on ZIP codes.
