The Maryland Department of Labor, License, and Regulation (DLLR) revised the Maryland Minimum Wage and Overtime Law notice, which is required for all employers with locations in Maryland.
What Changed on the Maryland Minimum Wage and Overtime Law Notice?
Getting effective dates current was the primary focus of this revision. The State removed the expired minimum wage rates (those from 2014 /2015) and updated Prince George’s County and Montgomery County’s minimum wage rate effective dates: July 1, 2016, for Montgomery County and October 1, 2016, for Prince George’s County.
The quickest way to ensure that you have the most current notice is to check the revision date on the bottom right-hand corner of the notice. The version date should now read “Rev 8/2016”.
