The Virginia Department of Labor and Industry (VOSH) released a revised version of the Job Safety and Health Protection notice.
The Virginia Job Safety and Health Protection notice provides information about employers’ and workers’ rights and responsibilities under Virginia workplace safety regulations.
What Changed on the Virginia Job Safety and Health Protection Notice?
The Virginia Department of Labor and Industry (DOLI) made changes to the Accident Reporting section of the posting. The law now allows 24 hours to report in-patient hospitalization, amputation or loss of an eye. On-the-job fatalities must still be reported within eight hours.
Virginia Job Safety and Health Protection Posting Requirements
Employers with workplaces in Virginia must display the notice in a prominent place in each establishment where employees normally report to work. DOLI provides the notice in an a 11″ x 17″ format.
