How Many Labor Law Posters Do I Need to Display in Each of My Company Locations?

Companies big and small need to post labor law posters for their employees. However, to reach all employees, larger companies often need to post labor law posters in multiple locations in each building.

This adds another challenging layer of labor law compliance and leaves many companies asking, “How many labor law posters do I actually need?” One set may not be enough.

In general, all labor law posters must be displayed in a conspicuous area, which is any common area where most of your employees visit daily, such as a break room or kitchen.

Therefore, if you have multiple buildings or floors, and all your employees do not frequent a central location on a regular basis, you are required to display the posters in each building, on each floor, etc., according to your setup.

Don’t forget about remote workers, too! Although they may not work in a corporate office space, companies still need to provide remote employees with current labor law posters.

Here are a few ways you can reach out to your remote employees:

  • Send them a set of labor law posters, OR
  • Include the latest labor law posters on your intranet. Check out the GovDocs Intranet Poster Program to see how online access to current labor law postings can be incorporated into your company’s intranet.

In summary, making labor law posters available to all employees is a great investment to maintain compliance and ensure employees are aware of their rights and company policies.
