- Maryland becomes 10th state to pass paid family and medical leave law
- Law applies to majority of employers
- Employees must have worked 680 hours in 12 months preceding leave to be eligible for benefits
- Employees eligible for 12 weeks of paid leave
- Payroll tax begins Oct. 1, 2023
- Benefits available Jan. 1, 2025
- Delaware close to passing PFML law, as well
