The Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) released a revised minimum wage posting required for all Oregon workplaces beginning July 1, 2016. Subscribers to GovDocs Labor Law News may recall that earlier in 2016, Oregon enacted a series of annual minimum wage rate increases (SB1352).
With three different minimum wage tiers, the applicable minimum wage rate will depend on where your Oregon workplaces are located. For example, a different rate will apply to locations in the Portland metropolitan area versus those locations in “non-urban” counties. And both of those rates are different from the standard tier.
Effective Date | Standard | Portland Metro | Non-urban counties |
July 1, 2016 | $9.75 | $9.75 | $9.50 |
July 1, 2017 | $10.25 | $11.25 | $10.00 |
July 1, 2018 | $10.75 | $12.00 | $10.50 |
July 1, 2019 | $11.25 | $12.50 | $11.00 |
July 1, 2020 | $12.00 | $13.25 | $11.50 |
July 1, 2021 | $12.75 | $14.00 | $12.00 |
July 1, 2022 | $13.50 | $14.75 | $12.50 |
July 1, 2023 | Adjusted annually | Minimum wage plus $1.25 | Minimum wage minus $1 |
