Now in its 23rd year, the Business Journal’s annual Best Places to Work is the Twin Cities’ longest-running workplace awards program.
ST. PAUL, MINN. (June 25, 2021) — GovDocs today announced it has been honored among the Best Places to Work by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
GovDocs — a leading employment law compliance management company — was recognized as one of the top 20 medium-sized businesses from more than 300 nominees.
“We are thrilled to be honored as one of the Best Places to Work in the Twin Cities area,” said Zach Stabenow, founder and CEO of GovDocs. “Our leadership team works extremely hard to create a positive and supportive work environment, but the foundation of our success is our employees. We have assembled an amazing team and I believe that is why most of us like working here and why the experience was rated so well.”
Now in its 23rd year, the Business Journal’s annual Best Places to Work is the Twin Cities’ longest-running workplace awards program. Despite the challenges companies have faced over the past year-plus, organizers said they were impressed with how the honorees adjusted to the unique conditions and found success.
Over the past year, GovDocs has:
- Adopted a hybrid work environment tailored toward employee needs and pandemic safety regulations
- Launched a new product, GovDocs Paid Leave
- Hired new employees across all departments
- Met and surpassed quarterly revenue goals
- Begun using a new biodegradable material for its labor law poster products
“We’re incredibly proud of the growth and sustained success GovDocs has had over the past 20-plus years,” Stabenow said. “The honor of being named a ‘Best Place to Work’ reflects on the people we have here. We have worked hard to bring in exceptional talent and develop a strong corporate culture based on our core tenants: humility, effectiveness, adaptability, remarkability and transparency.”
The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal plans to announce the final rankings for all Best Places to Work categories Aug. 13.
Methodology
To determine the honorees, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal sought nominations from companies in the Twin Cities region. The media company’s research partner, Quantum Workplace, then distributed surveys to all Minnesota-based employees of those nominated companies, asking participants to rate their employers on a variety of questions related to management, communication and more. Quantum tabulated the scores from those confidential surveys to identify the list of honorees.
The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal is a multi-platform media company providing coverage of local business communities, reaching more than 491,000 readers each week.
