A highlight of several recent labor law poster releases that employers should know about, brought to you by the GovDocs Employment Law and Compliance Team.

In this monthly series, the GovDocs Employment Law and Compliance Team highlights three recent labor law poster releases that employers need to know about.

California’s Family Care & Medical Leave & Pregnancy Disability Leave Poster

There were several updates to California’s Family Care & Medical Leave & Pregnancy Disability Leave Poster, which provides information on the California Family Rights Act (CFRA). Specifically, there were several updates to the Pay and Benefits During Leave, Pregnancy Disability Leave, Reinstatement, and Notice sections on the poster, which are broken down below:

  • Pay and Benefits During Leave – a few minor language edits and the addition of a URL link to the Paid Family Leave website
  • Pregnancy Disability Leave – several verbiage updates
  • Reinstatement – clarification added that both the CFRA leave and pregnancy disability leave guarantee reinstatement to the same position or a comparable position in certain circumstances
  • Notice – several verbiage updates

The updated poster is required for all employers with 5 or more employees. The Spanish version also updated, which is required for employers with 10% or more Spanish non-English-speaking employees. Both GovDocs Update Program and Spanish Update Program customers will receive updated posters for their California locations.

San Francisco’s Minimum Wage Poster

San Francisco updated its Minimum Wage Poster to include the increase in its minimum wage from $18.67 to $19.18, effective July 1, 2025. The minimum wage requirement applies to adult and minor employees who work 2 or more hours per week in San Francisco. The poster also updated the separate minimum wage for government-subsidized non-profit organizations who are under 18 years of age or over 55 years of age, which increased from $16.51 to $16.97.

In addition to the Minimum Wage Poster, San Francisco also updated several of its labor law posters to incorporate the information in Vietnamese, including the following posters:

  • Salary History
  • Paid Sick Leave
  • Fair Chance Ordinance

The Minimum Wage, Salary History, and Paid Sick Leave Posters are required to be posted by all employers while the Fair Chance Ordinance Poster is required for employers with 5 or more employees and all city contractors. The above-mentioned posters are in the GovDocs Standard Update Program, which will be sending out updates to customers in San Francisco.

Nevada’s Rules to be Observed by Employers Poster

Among several updates in July, Nevada made changes to its Rules to be Observed by Employers Poster, which includes several wage and hour, salary history, and leave requirements for employers in the state. The poster updated the provision regarding leave related to domestic violence so that it now includes domestic violence and sexual assault. The poster now provides the definition of sexual assault, which can be found under Nevada Revised Statute § 200.366.

Nevada’s Rules to be Observed by Employers Poster is required to be displayed by all employers in the workplace. GovDocs is shipping new posters out to customer locations in Nevada, and the poster will also be included in the GovDocs Intranet Poster Program.
