1. Washington – Expanding Eligible Reasons to Use Paid Sick Leave.
Status: Pending, has passed the House
Washington has a bill (HB 1875) that has currently passed the House which would expand the eligible reasons for paid sick leave.
2. Wyoming – Repealing Gun Free Zones and Allows for Carrying Concealed Weapons.
Status: Passed and Effective July 1, 2025
The Wyoming Legislature passed HB 172 which allows for the carrying of concealed weapons in various public places.
3. Hawaii – Pay Transparency in Tip Distribution.
Status: Pending, has passed the Senate
The Hawaii legislature has a bill pending that has passed the Senate. The proposed bill (SB 1287) relates to pay transparency in tip distribution.
4. Indiana – Awareness of Human Trafficking.
Status: Pending, has passed the House
Indiana has a bill pending (HB 1416) which would require gas stations, safety rest areas, and welcome centers to display human trafficking awareness posters and require onsite employees receive human trafficking awareness training.
5. Illinois – House Bill on Employment Discrimination, Equal Pay, Civil Rights, Gender Identity/Orientation.
Status: Passed.
Illinois passed a House Resolution (HR0117) in February condemning President Trump’s efforts to undermine equal pay, make workplaces less fair, and limit opportunity.
