A highlight of several recent labor law poster releases that employers should know about, brought to you by the GovDocs Employment Law and Compliance Team.

In this monthly series, the GovDocs Employment Law and Compliance Team highlights three recent labor law poster releases that employers need to know about.

Minnesota’s Paid Leave Posters

Back in 2023, the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” passed Minnesota Paid Leave, providing covered employees with paid family and medical leave benefits. Specifically, employees are entitled to  up to 12 weeks of medical leave, up to 12 weeks of family leave, with a maximum of 20 weeks of total combined leave per benefit year. On January 1, 2026, Minnesota Paid Leave takes effect.

Employers are required to display a new paid leave posting by December 1, 2025, informing employees of their rights to paid family and medical leave benefits in the state. There are two poster options employers must choose from:

  • Minnesota’s Paid Leave Poster – required for employers who are providing paid family and medical leave through the state plan
  • Minnesota’s Paid Leave Equivalent Plan Poster – required for employers who are providing paid family and medical leave through an approved equivalent plan instead of through the state

GovDocs is working with current customers in the GovDocs Labor Law Poster Program to confirm which poster applies to their Minnesota locations and shipping updated posters out accordingly.

Wisconsin’s SSDI Unemployment Eligibility Poster

Wisconsin’s Department of Workforce Development (DWD) released a new required labor law poster: Updates to Unemployment Eligibility for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) Recipients.

The poster was released following a recent court decision, with Wisconsin’s DWD providing the following statement, “Due to a recent federal court order that found that a state statute was contrary to federal law, some individuals who were ineligible for Wisconsin unemployment benefits because they received Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits may now be eligible for unemployment benefits.”

The new SSDI Unemployment Eligibility Poster is required to be displayed in each workplace from Oct. 14, 2025, to Jan. 12, 2026, and has been made available in both English and Spanish. If an employer does not have a permanent workplace location regularly accessed by employees, Wisconsin’s DWD requires employers to share it directly with each worker.

Due to the short timeline of the poster, GovDocs is shipping the new SSDI Unemployment Eligibility posters out to customers with locations in the state, and the posters are also included in the GovDocs Intranet Poster Program for immediate use by customers.

Pennsylvania’s New Veteran Benefits and Services Poster

Following a recent employment law trend, Pennsylvania is now the 10th state to release a Veteran Benefits and Services Poster to be displayed in the workplace.

Back on July 7, 2025, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro signed House Bill 799, requiring employers with 50 or more full-time employees to display the new Veteran Benefits and Services posting. The poster includes the following information for veterans:

  • Contact and website information for the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs
  • Information and contacts for federal and state benefits and services for veterans and their families
  • Contact information for the Veterans Crisis Line
  • Contact information for county directors of veterans affairs

The new poster must be displayed in a conspicuous area in the workplace. Employers can also add the poster to their website if it is accessible to employees.

The GovDocs Standard Update Program is currently shipping updated Pennsylvania state posters to impacted customer locations.
